“Fractions” Lyrics Meaning and Song Review

In the song’s verse alone, Nicki Minaj sings that she has no competition in the industry, despite many claiming to have taken the top spot in female rap and hip-hop. She says female rappers act like they want some action with her, but as soon as they set up shop in their studios and release music, it’s clear why Nicki is the queen.

So I’ll line them up like fractions

In mathematics, a fraction is a part of a whole number. For example, 0.5 is a fraction of the whole number 1 divided by 2. The idea behind this line and the title of the song is that if someone tries to go against Nicki, she will make sure her opponents are reduced to a fraction of what they were before.

Nicki Minaj doesn’t forget to flex in the verse. She brags about her pink Lamborghini Aventador which she bought in 2013 for around $400,000.

She also boasts of spending $2 million to party at clubs in Saudi Arabia. Although this claim is unverified, Saudi Arabia is known to be a party town and there is no shortage of money.

Nicki Minaj also nods to the first female Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, whom she supported during her and President Joe Biden’s campaign. Nicki also plays on Biden’s name saying “biting like Joe.”

Nicki Minaj returns to the topic of her competition and says she has no more plans to fight. She realizes that the Queen does not fight with every person who raises a torch against her. She sat down and watched to see a suitable opponent fighting through the crowd. But all she saw were talentless singers humiliating themselves in every possible way for a certain weight. She is dishonored.

Nicki would rather sit and count her millions…
