You would expect “you should see me in a crown”, strange as it sounds, to be inspired by some dark, twisted fantasy. However, speaking to BBC Radio 1, Billie Eilish confessed that the title of the song was inspired by a line by Moriarty in the television series Sherlock on the BBC network.

“We wrote this song because of Sherlock, actually, because there’s a scene where Jim Moriarty says, ‘You should see me in a crown’ and me and my brother were like ‘hey, that’s jiggy. as fuck ”. Then we kind of did the song about being jiggy, I guess, and you should see me with a crown, so there you go.
